A miniature clay “pueblo house” (or pueblo structure/model) made from traditional hand-coiled pottery by the Jemez Pueblo artist signed “CLS” (known as Caroline Loretto Seonia, or C.L. Seonia, of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico, 19282008).

Caroline Loretto Seonia was a respected Jemez Pueblo potter known especially for her storyteller figureslarge and small versions, sometimes with dozens of children. These are highly collectible and appear frequently in auctions and Native American art sales. Her work is signed “CLS Jemez NM” and reflects the Pueblo’s emphasis on family, tradition, and clay work passed down through generations. While she is best documented for storytellers, Jemez artists often produce a range of figurative and architectural miniatures, including pueblo house models.
