A curling wave moves around this slender vase with the drama of a miniature seascape. John Derians archival image gives the simple cylindrical form a poetic sense of motion and depth.

Created by John Derian for Astier de Villatte, each piece is handmade in Paris from black terracotta and stamped with the Astier de Villatte monogram and the initials of the artisan who crafted it. Subtle variations in form, surface and glaze are integral to its character.
