Standing proudly in full ceremonial dress, this richly painted soldier captures the romance, discipline, and theatrical elegance associated with the Napoleonic period while possessing the warmth and charm of traditional European folk carving.

Carved entirely by hand and finished in layered paint with a beautifully aged patina, the figure wears a tall plumed shako, white crossbelt, green military coat with gilt epaulettes, and carries a sword at his side. The expressive face, bold proportions, and visible tool marks give the sculpture a distinctive personality that feels both historic and decorative.
