Product Description

TH-1 is a rutile based texturizer. When layered with other glazes it tends to produce a floating, flowing texture.

Safety Warning

Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.

(TH) Texturizer

Apply TH-1 Texturizer over any Cone 5 unfired glaze or between coats of two different glazes to create different visual textures.

Layering with Potters Choice

There are examples Potter’s Choice Glazes layered with Texturizer in the product images. If Texturizer is on the bottom, first brush on a layer of Texturizer, then lightly sponge it off. Next brush on 3 coats of Potter’s Choice. If Texturizer is shown as the top layer, brush on 3 coats of Potter’s Choice Glaze for the base coat, then lightly sponge on one coat of Texturizer. Tiles show on buff stoneware clay and fired to cone 5/6.
