Golden Halo Metallic Glaze 151

World-Class Kiln Fired Finishes!

Spectrum Metallic Glazes are lead-free, but NOT dinnerware safe due to the use of heavy metals such as copper and manganese.This is a brush-on earthenware glaze with a shiny goldmetallic finish. Fire this glaze toCone 05, as close as possible to 1030c (within 15 degrees either way). Use 3 generous brushing coats or 4 regular brushing coats. This glaze needs to be applied thickly to achieve the metallic effect.The thicker the better!

We would recommend using a plain white clay body with this glaze, as any metal oxides present in the clay body may affect the outcome of the glaze. This glaze isNOT non-toxic or dinnerware safe, due to the presence of metallic oxides in the glaze. This glaze should only be used for non-functional ware.

Use Spectrum Low Fire Metallic Glazes for creating decorative and special effects on pottery. The range of six glazes give the appearance of brushed bronze, wrought iron, green patina, and more.
