The Jemez Pueblo Rain God is a small, hand-coiled ceramic figure, typically seated and holding an olla (water jar). While these figures were famously pioneered at Tesuque Pueblo in the late 19th century, the style was adopted by other Pueblos, including Jemez, and remains a sought-after collector’s item today.
