A vivid frog occupies the broad interior of John Derians Frog Salad Bowl like a specimen from an old natural-history folio. The expansive serving form turns the image into an exuberant centrepiece.

Created as John Derian for Astier de Villatte, each piece is handmade in Paris from black terracotta and finished with the maisons luminous white glaze. Slight variations in form, surface and image placement are integral to its character.
