A winged cupid gives this small John Derian plate the romance of an antique token. The softly faded image and irregular white edge make the individual piece feel found rather than newly made.

Created as John Derian for Astier de Villatte, each piece is handmade in Paris from black terracotta and finished with the maisons luminous white glaze. Slight variations in form, surface and image placement are integral to its character.
