Fork and knife imagery gives this individual John Derian plate the charm of an old illustrated place setting. The familiar utensils become unexpectedly decorative beneath Astiers luminous glaze.

Created as John Derian for Astier de Villatte, each piece is handmade in Paris from black terracotta and finished with the maisons luminous white glaze. Slight variations in form, surface and image placement are integral to its character.
