Hand Crafted from Sterling Silver and 1 Royston Nevada Green Turquoise Stone

Excellent Condition

Navajo necklace pendants are a hallmark of Native American jewelry, particularly from the Navajo (Din) people. These pieces often feature sterling silver craftsmanship combined with turquoise stones, reflecting centuries of cultural influences from Spanish, Pueblo, and indigenous traditions.

Royston Turquoise from Nevada is renowned for its stunning range of colors, particularly its green varieties, which often feature deep forest or “military” greens, emerald tones, and sometimes blends with blues in the same stone. The Royston mining district, located near Tonopah, Nevada, includes several claims (such as Bunker Hill, Royal Blue, and Oscar Wehrend) operated primarily by the Otteson family. It’s one of the oldest patented turquoise mines in Nevada (dating back to around 1902) and is famous for producing high-quality, hard turquoise (typically 5-6 on the Mohs scale) with distinctive golden-brown, red-brown, or spiderweb matrix patterns.
