Cleo Teissedre (1930-2020) Storyteller Mudhead Pottery Figurine. Pottery sculpture featuring a Storyteller Mudhead Kachina with 4 children. Cleo Teissedre is a self-taught Native American artist from Tucson Arizona, who designs traditional native American pottery figurines. Each figurine is hand-painted by Teissedre. Storytellers and kachinas are the most sought after items by Teissedre. Pottery figurines of Teissedre are increasing in price and are becoming harder to find as they disappear into private collections. Since Cleo’s death in 2020 no new pieces are being made. Marked on bottom with “Teissedre 87”.
