Handmade in the upstate New York studio of Crystal and Ben Sloane, each character reflects the artists distinctive interpretation of historic German spun-cotton decoration. Painted faces, miniature costume details, natural fibres, paper, wire, and found materials give the work its singular presence.

Each piece is sold individually. Small differences in colour, materials, expression, decoration, and scale are natural to the handmade process and make every example distinctive.
