Crafted circa 1850, each candlestick features finely cast detailing with naturalistic snail and foliate motifs rising from a sculptural tripod base. The proportions are elegant and vertical, balancing delicacy with architectural presence. Each retains its antique glass bobche.

Barbedienne was renowned for producing high-quality bronzes inspired by classical and Renaissance forms, supplying collectors and institutions throughout Europe during the Second Empire period.

A beautifully scaled pair that brings depth, symmetry, and historic character to a mantel, console, or dining table.

Approximate height: 25 cm
