Pair of Swedish Gustavian Armchairs, Signed ASP (Andreas Persson)

A refined pair of Swedish Gustavian armchairs, bearing the stamp ASP, attributed to master chairmaker Andreas Persson (17581811). The chairs exemplify the restrained elegance of the Gustavian period, with clean lines, gently curved arms, and balanced proportions.
