Daniel Chattin is a renowned Zuni Pueblo fetish carver known especially for his Corn Maiden fetishes.

These carvings represent the Corn Maiden, a sacred figure in Zuni and broader Pueblo culture symbolizing fertility, abundance, and the life-giving power of corn. She is often depicted with tabular hair whorls, a detailed face, and inlaid features like turquoise, coral, or jet.

Chattin, a self-taught carver who began in 1995, favors Corn Maidens due to their cultural significance. He is married to Jovanna Poblano (from the famous Poblano family of Zuni artists, connected to legendary carver Leo Poblano), and they often collaborate on pieces incorporating his fetishes into jewelry.
