“Route 66 Style” is a collector’s term for mid-20th-century (often 1950s1970s) katsina dolls that were simplified, boldly painted, and mass-produced or hand-carved for sale to tourists traveling the famous highway through the Southwest (Arizona, New Mexico, etc.). These differ from traditional ceremonial katsinas (used by Hopi and Zuni peoples to educate children about spiritual beings) by being more stylized, colorful, and commercialoften with bright acrylic-like paints, exaggerated features, and bases for display. They were commonly sold at roadside stops, trading posts, and gift shops along Route 66.

This particular style of Zuni Warrior Kachina features Hand-carved from cottonwood root (traditional material), Painted in vibrant colors with geometric patterns, feathers, and warrior attributes (e.g., shield, weapons, or fierce expression) and Typically smaller (around 610 inches tall) for easy portability/souvenir appeal.
